Leeds United endured a dismal evening as they succumbed to a 5-0 defeat to Arsenal.
Daniel Farke elected to leave Dominic Calvert-Lewin out of the Leeds squad despite his vast experience in the Premier League.
The Whites went into the break with a two-goal deficit after goals from Jurrien Timber and Bukayo Saka, and could not bring it back.
Timber added another, and Viktor Gyokeres got his first two goals for the North London side in the second half to definitely put the result beyond the Elland Road charges.

Leeds issue highlighted by Jamie Redknapp amid Jurrien Timber scenes
Leeds were never going to park the bus against Arsenal. Farke confirmed that before the contest, but the way that they conceded the first goal will sting.
MORE LEEDS STORIES
Leeds signed the likes of Anton Stach, Jaka Bijol and Sebastiaan Bornauw to deal with set pieces, but only the former was on the pitch for the opener.
Jamie Redknapp was stunned by the fact that Timber had such space to head home from a corner for his opener, as the majority of the Peacocks were focused on Gabriel Magalhaes.
Speaking on Sky Sports Premier League (6:26pm), he said: “Gabriel is normally one of the players on the back – he now comes in there.
“I think everybody gets attracted to him and I think that is a major problem.”
Arsenal loss will not concern Leeds too much
The LS11 outfit were always likely to struggle against the Gunners, as they are a title-chasing side, looking to beat the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City to the crown.
If the Whites could have secured points, it would have been a glorious result, but it is not pivotal for their survival chances, especially this early in the campaign.
It was essentially a free hit, if they had won or drawn, then great, however, losing at the Emirates Stadium is not the end of the world.

Farke’s side needs to be focused on their matches against their relegation rivals and mid-table teams, where they are likely to be able to take significant points, the ones needed to stay in the division.
If they can win the majority of them matches, they can afford to lose to the bigger teams and not be too concerned by those results as long as they do their job in the ones they are expected to get a result in.
