Arsenal enjoyed a great first day at home with a 5-0 win over Leeds. First half goals from Jurrien Timber and Bukayo Saka put the Gunners in a good position at the break, and there was a first Gunners goal for Viktor Gyokeres early in the second half to really make things comfortable.
Timber added a second, before the Swedish international converted an injury time penalty won by substitute Max Dowman to make it 5-0. The downside of the day came with injuries to Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka, not ideal ahead of the trip to Anfield, but the day’s work was as good as you could have hoped for.
