Watch fan-favorite Lions rookie WR snag an incredible TD catch vs. Texans

DETROIT -- Isaac TeSlaa was already viewed as a near lock to make the Detroit Lions’ 53-man roster, but the Hudsonville native continues to strengthen his case with highlight-reel moments.

With 1:57 left in the first quarter of the Lions’ preseason finale against the Houston Texans, TeSlaa hauled in another eye-catching grab.

On 1st-and-10 from Houston’s 33, quarterback Kyle Allen — making the start under center for Detroit — lofted a deep pass down the right sideline. TeSlaa went up in the end zone and came down with a 33-yard touchdown catch, putting the Lions on the board.

For the celebration, the rookie receiver broke out “the worm” to the delight of his teammates. He then followed it up with the cupid’s arrow.

After the extra point, Detroit took a 7-3 lead over Houston. However, the Texans took a 10-3 lead on the next drive following a Jo’quavious Mark touchdown run.

So far, TeSlaa has two receptions for 41 yards and the score. Allen was perfect in the opening frame, completing all five of his attempts for 66 yards.
