Mikel Arteta has issued an injury update on Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard after they were both taken off against Leeds United in the Premier League.
Despite a 5-0 victory and a near-flawless performance, the game was marred for Arsenal by injuries to two of their star men – Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard.
The pair are vital to Arsenal’s success. Saka is arguably the best winger in the world on his day, whilst Martin Odegaard is the conductor in Arsenal’s side.

Mikel Arteta will be hoping that the pair’s ailments aren’t too serious. He spoke on them in his post-match press conference.
Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard injury update
Asked if he could elaborate on the injuries to Odegaard and Saka, Mikel Arteta replied: ‘I don’t know, obviously I haven’t spoken to the doctor yet.
‘But for Bukayo to come off… for sure, it looks like something that is significant.’
It could be a bad one for Arsenal. Not good news. The pair will be assessed in the coming days, and more will surely follow.
For now, Arsenal need to think of replacements.

Who can replace Saka and Odegaard?
Arsenal aren’t short of options. Suddenly, the signing of Noni Madueke becomes very important amid a Saka injury, who could certainly start against Liverpool next week.
As for Odegaard, Eberechi Eze couldn’t have come at a better time. Other than that, of course, Ethan Nwaneri can come in.
It’s not the end of the world, given the replacements Arsenal have. But losing two of your superstars on matchweek two in the Premier League is rather devastating. Speedy recovery to the pair.
