Šeško starts, Rúben Amorim makes three major changes: Manchester United predicted XI vs Fulham (Premier League)

Rúben Amorim could start Benjamin Šeško for the first time as Manchester United take on Fulham in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Manchester United travel to West London this weekend as Rúben Amorim’s men prepare for their first away match of the 2025/26 campaign against Fulham.

United’s season opener ended in a narrow 1-0 defeat to Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal at Old Trafford, but the performance provided plenty of encouragement.

Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo impressed on their full debuts, while summer signing Benjamin Šeško also made his first appearance for the club.

Amorim will be hoping his team can build on that display and collect their first win of the season.

Amorim could make three changes vs Fulham

Against Arsenal, the visiting side’s goal occurred because goalkeeper Altay Bayındır failed to hold his line. In light of this, Amorim is likely to start André Onana in goal instead, reinstating his first-choice option.

In defence, all three of the centre-backs were fantastic against Mikel Arteta’s men. Leny Yoro and Luke Shaw defended the flanks well, while Matthijs de Ligt was colossal against Viktor Gyökeres. No changes are expected in the back line.

As for the midfield, this is also expected to remain the same. Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro started in the middle of the park, and the latter played surprisingly well.

While there is an argument to play Kobbie Mainoo alongside Fernandes in a game where United will be more ball-dominant, it is more likely that Amorim will bring Mainoo off the bench if or when Casemiro starts to fade.

The second of Amorim’s three changes is likely to come with the wing-backs. While Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu will likely remain on the left flank, Diogo Dalot could be dropped in favour of Amad, with United wanting his on-the-ball threat at Craven Cottage.

As for the front three, Mbeumo and Cunha will almost certainly remain in the front three. While Mbeumo is still getting up to speed, Cunha looked brilliant against Arsenal and could be a difference maker against Fulham.

As for the striker position, Amorim could look to start Šeško for the first time. United clearly missed a focal point in the box against Arsenal, and Šeško would give the squad exactly that – but Mason Mount would have to give way for this to happen.
