Aaron Glenn's Jets have begun their initial wave of 2025 roster cuts.

The 2025 preseason is officially a thing of the past for the New York Jets. Their true work on the roster front begins now, and general manager Darren Mougey is getting a head start to beat the league’s August 26 deadline.

By 4:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, all 32 teams must trim their rosters from 90 players to 53. New York got their total down by six on Saturday, as a slew of moves was announced directly by the team via X.

Jets Announce Initial Wave of 6 Roster Cuts on Saturday

Below is the full list of initial cuts, per the Jets:

Expect this list to grow significantly in the coming days. There’s still some time left for everyone to be compliant with the NFL’s rule, but doing some of this work early helps both the team and its now-former players gain some clarity. Fresh off a 1-2 preseason slate, head coach Aaron Glenn and his staff got a good idea of who belongs and doesn’t belong on the team with Week 1 of the regular season approaching.

Goodrich, a former Clemson standout, entered the league back in 2022 as an undrafted free agent. Over the years, he’s spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants and Denver Broncos. He has four career games under his belt and had 8 tackles this preseason.

Jackson is a Central Florida product who signed with the Jets back in late July. Now in his third year, he also has experience in the UFL as a member of the Houston Roughnecks.

Johnson joined New York back in January on a reserve/futures contract. The second-year man recorded 2 catches for 27 yards in the preseason.

A 2024 star at Rutgers, Miller’s rookie stint with New York appears to be coming to an end. With that said, it’s always possible he returns on the practice squad. That’s on the table for any of these players. Miller had a pair of kick returns and one reception in the preseason.

Mullbah had 3 tackles this preseason. He signed with the Jets in May and was a productive player in college at West Virginia.

Last, but certainly not least, Wilson is a promising rookie with CFL experience. This month, he had 3 catches on 4 targets for 38 yards.
