Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis, who reportedly holds Rodgers in high regard, is preparing to part ways with Nuno after a breakdown in their relationship. Reports suggest Rodgers sits at the top of his wish list.
But Celtic’s focus is far from the noise in England. Rodgers has already gone on record about his three-year deal at Parkhead and stressed he will honour it in full. When pressed again about speculation on Friday, he was quick to remind everyone of the fallout from his first exit and insisted he has no intention of repeating history.
That stance will reassure Celtic supporters ahead of a vital week in Europe. The Hoops face a season-defining Champions League qualifier against Kairat in Kazakhstan, and the last thing the club needs is managerial chatter overshadowing preparations. Rodgers knows it too.

Talk of a move back to England, especially shortly before a crucial tie is unwelcome background noise for supporters who have seen it all before.
Former Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou, currently out of work after leaving Tottenham, has also been linked with Forest. But from a Celtic perspective, that’s a distraction for another club. The priority in Glasgow is simple: progress in Europe and keep building under Rodgers.
