SPORTS MOLE'S VERDICT

Barcelona's Lamine Yamal in action against Levante on August 23, 2025

Lamine Yamal.

Barcelona have a team packed full of talented players, but Yamal is simply sensational, and the attacker came to the forefront once again to inspire the Catalan giants to all three points.

Yamal set up Pedri to make it 2-1 early in the second period, and it was then his stunning cross late on that allowed the reigning champions to claim all three points in dramatic fashion.

Levante gave Barcelona a real scare, and the manner of the Catalan team's defending will be concerning for Flick, but the visitors showed character to come from two goals behind to claim all three points.

Marcus Rashford was given the nod from the first whistle, but the on-loan Manchester United attacker found it difficult to make his mark.

Barcelona's main problems on Saturday night came defensively, but luckily enough for the champions, they have a special, special footballer in the final third of the field.
