Shilo Sanders may regret his actions on Saturday.
Sanders, who began his career at South Carolina in 2019, is battling to make the 53-man roster after going undrafted out of Colorado. Instead of turning in a strong performance in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ preseason finale, Sanders was given an early exit after throwing a punch at Buffalo Bills tight end Zach Davidson.

Sanders, the oldest son of Deion Sanders, was a South Carolina Gamecock in 2019 and 2020. He played for his father for 4 seasons at Jackson State (2021-22) and Colorado (2023-24). Shilo Sanders was named second-team All-SWAC in his first season at Jackson State.
The past 2 seasons, Sanders had a starting role with the Buffaloes. Last year, he played in 8 Colorado games, recording 55 combined tackles with 2 TFLs and 1 sack.
For his college career across South Carolina, Jackson State and Colorado, Sanders played in 52 games with 33 starts. He logged 217 total tackles, 160 solo stops, 6 TFLs, 13 passes defended and 6 interceptions with 1 touchdown.
With preseason wrapping up, roster cuts are coming up in the NFL. We’ll see if Sanders’ Saturday ejection proves costly.
