Arsenal have completed the permanent deal to sign Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace. However with rumours of a loan move possible, the Gunners are very much still in the race to sign Real Madrid’s sensation Rodrygo.
Mikel Arteta would have been delighted on Matchday 1 when his team grabbed the 3 points on offer against Manchester United at Old Trafford and even happier after the 5-0 thumping of Leeds United and another 3 points. His team’s lack of depth and service in the attacking third vs Man Utd was certainly put right as new striker Viktor Gyokeres bagged a brace vs Leeds.
The Gunners are already set to receive a major boost to their squad with Crystal Palace winger Eberechi Eze now joining the north London side which is very timely given the injury to Kai Havertz.
The club are prepared to add more to the likes of Viktor Gyokeres and Noni Madueke in the attacking half after they splashed the cash by closing the deal for the creative attacker Eze.
In a dramatic turn of events, Arsenal were able to hijack Eberechi Eze’s move to Tottenham Hotspur. Given the England international’s fondness for the Gunners, it was a rather easy choice for Eze when Arsenal moved on the negotiations.
Yet another attacking option to be signed for Arteta?
Despite announcing the Eze signing, Arsenal are still on the hunt for further reinforcements in attack.
Mikel Arteta & Co. are seriously eyeing a loan move for Los Blancos star winger, Rodrygo who may well still be a Liverpool target if Arne Slot does not land his number 1 choice to reinforce his attack.
The injury to Kai Havertz has left Arsenal slightly vulnerable with a long season lying ahead and after suffering from the injury bug last season it seems the Gunners are determined to avoid a repeat of having few options left in attack.
