Leeds United came undone at Arsenal on Saturday, falling to a 5-0 defeat at the Emirates Stadium. That particular trip may be classed as one of the most difficult of the campaign, but such a heavy loss will only serve to increase fears that Daniel Farke's team will struggle this season.
Luckily for the manager there is still eight days to wrap up any more transfers deemed necessary for the first stint of the season. Leeds have already spent around £90 million on nine new signings and have recouped only £5.2m between two departures, whilst allowing a further four to leave on loan.
Therefore room remains more business to be done before the summer window comes to a close at 7pm on Monday, September 1.
Here, LeedsLive analyses the latest rumours. The latest updates emerging have been about Christantus Uche and Largie Ramazani.
Uche battle
Leeds are just one club who have been linked with Getafe forward Uche over the summer window. Having proven his worth by netting in his club's recent La Liga opener against Celta Vigo, the Nigerian reportedly has a €20m (£17m) price tag.
But the Whites are yet to make their move and now Spanish publication Diario AS report a potential hiccup - competition from Italy.
They say Serie A outfit Como, who are managed by former Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas, have open interest in Uche. They are making a 'strong' bid to sign the player.
However it is also outlined that the 22-year-old is happy playing for Getafe and does not see himself leaving before the window closes, which would put a halt to the battle with Leeds before it even begins.
Leeds Live says: There is very much the feeling that if Leeds were going to sign Uche, it would have happened by now. They've moved for other attacking targets whilst not completing a deal with Getafe, which is telling. Also the player's reported stance towards moving anywhere else says a lot - maybe one for future, but not this summer.
Ramazani green light
Covering Valencia's interest in Leeds winger Ramazani, Tribuna Deportiva believe the La Liga side have the green light to complete a deal.
The Belgian was kept on the bench against Everton last Monday then was not named in Farke's squad that went to Arsenal last night. This is despite Ramazani telling LeedsLive over the summer he was 'more than ready' for the Premier League.
Farke spoke after the Arsenal defeat and put the omission down to the decision to include Okafor, with Jack Harrison also making the squad.
But the latest report from Spain suggests the arrival of Noah Okafor to Elland Road from AC Milan has all-but confirmed Ramazani's impending exit.
They claim Valencia, who are managed by former Leeds assistant coach Carlos Corberan, have been holding talks over a number of weeks now. These were to resume once the Okafor deal was sealed.
Leeds Live says: Does Farke need four left-wingers? He's just confirmed he doesn't by saying there wasn't space for Ramazani in the squad at Emirates Stadium. In the limited time left this summer it seems sensible for all parties if Ramazani moves on and Valencia isn't exactly a bad home in the Spanish top-flight.
