Jorrel Hato & Jeremie Frimpong respond to 24-yo Arsenal star who won 2/2 aerials vs Leeds

Arsenal bagged a 5-0 victory over Leeds United in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Gunners had to be patient to break the deadlock against Daniel Farke’s side.

However, the floodgates opened as soon as Jurrien Timber scored from a corner in the 34th minute.

Bukayo Saka and Viktor Gyokeres made it 2-0 and 3-0 respectively.

Timber netted his second goal from another corner before Gyokeres secured his own brace from the penalty spot.

The right-back was the man of the match after a 10/10 display, and there was plenty of praise for him on Instagram.

Shortly after the game, the 24-year-old posted that it was ‘a perfect game at home‘ after registering two goals and an assist.

His Dutch compatriots Jorrel Hato and Jeremie Frimpong were among those to respond.

Here is a screenshot.

Hato, who joined Chelsea from Ajax earlier this summer, has previously described Timber as his role model. There are no surprises that he was monitoring the game.

Timber has a close relationship with Frimpong from the Dutch national setup. It is good to see the new Liverpool signing appreciate the efforts of Timber against Leeds.

Aside from his goal contributions, Timber completed 92 percent of his passes yesterday. He won six duels with a 100 percent aerial success (2/2). He also made two interceptions and one tackle.

It was a complete display from the right-back in the absence of the injured Ben White. He looks poised to keep his place against Liverpool next weekend even if White is deemed fit to play.

Arsenal have climbed to the top of the league standings after back-to-back wins to start the game. They face a stern challenge at Anfield next where they have not won in the last 13 years.
