Per reports, goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has agreed on personal terms with Manchester City. The Premier League club must now find an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain over a transfer fee, with a figure in the region of €50m being touted.
Rivals Manchester United have also been linked with the Italian goalkeeper, as they look to potentially upgrade on Andre Onana. However, it now looks as though they will be beaten to the signing by their local rivals.
The update comes from trusted transfer source Fabrizio Romano, who states:
"Gigio Donnarumma has agreed on personal terms with Manchester City, keen on joining Pep Guardiola.
"Negotiations are also underway between Man City & PSG, fee will be under initial €50m request."
"Deal still depends on Éderson exit this summer, with Galatasaray still keen."
There is every chance a deal with the PSG goalkeeper was accelerated after Man City lost 2-0 at home to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League over the weekend. In particular, James Trafford had a tough afternoon.
The English goalkeeper was at fault for the second goal, making a 'calamitous error' as he lost the ball, allowing Joao Palhinha to crash in the second goal of the day.
This is a developing story, more to follow...
