Manchester United are set to win the race for young Belgian keeper Senne Lammens.
United have been keeping tabs on the 23-year-old Royal Antwerp star for the past year, and have lined up a deal that will see them pay an initial £16million plus a package of add-ons.
It is understood that Lammens wants to move to Old Trafford, despite interest from Galatasaray, Inter Milan and Lille.
United will now look to seal an agreement with the player, although Turkish giants Galatasaray put in an 11th-hour bid last night to try to steal the 6ft 4in keeper.
Lammens’ arrival will raise more doubts over the long-term future of Andre Onana. The Cameroon star was left out of Ruben Amorim’s squad for last week’s defeat by Arsenal. Onana is waiting to see if he wins a recall for the trip to Fulham.

Altay Bayindir replaced Onana between the sticks - and it was his howler that gifted the Gunners the game.
Analysing the game on Sky Sports at full-time, Keane and Richards were then embroiled in a back-and-forth over the former United captain's criticism of the goalkeeper.
Keane criticised Bayindir was being weak, saying the goalkeeper should have been more commanding and 'punched someone's head off' to get to the ball.

Onana, a £47m signing from Inter Milan two years ago, will be heading for the Africa Cup of Nations in December, and Amorim has made it clear he needed a new keeper.
Lammens, who is expected to sign a five-year deal, views a move to the Premier League as a platform to challenge Real Madrid veteran Thibaut Courtois for the Belgium No.1 spot.
