Burnley make loan offer for winger – May need to offer incentives to get deal done

Burnley have made an offer to Monaco for forward Krépin Diatta, looking to take him on loan until the end of the season.

That’s [according to Match 360 on X](http://x.com/Match360TV/status/1958949790068228423), who report that Burnley have made the bid and Monaco are reviewing the proposal.

They report that the Ligue 1 side are likely to be resistant to the offer, as they would prefer a permanent exit for Diatta at this moment in time.

That is likely due to the fact that his current deal at Monaco expires next year, meaning this is the last window in which they can make any money on the forward.

A loan deal would make little sense as they’d risk losing the 26-year-old on a free transfer next summer if they sanctioned it. Similar deals have often seen the player either sign a one-year extension or the loan deal include an obligation to buy at the end of it.

There’s no indication if Burnley have offered anything like the latter at this moment in time. Match 360 simply state that they have made a loan bid for the Monaco winger and that offer is now being assessed.
