Manchester United confirmed squad vs Fulham as star left out in latest snub

The confirmed Man Utd team and squad news for the trip to face Fulham in the Premier League.

Andre Onana has been included in the Manchester United squad to face Fulham in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon. The 29-year-old was left out of the matchday squad for the opening weekend defeat to Arsenal but is set to be involved when Ruben Amorim’s side travel to Craven Cottage this weekend.

Amorim has reiterated Onana was not dropped for the Arsenal match but was overlooked for selection due to the fact that he had not featured in their pre-season schedule. United sources insist the Cameroon international is still viewed as the first-choice goalkeeper at the club, but it is understood Amorim has doubts over his keeper options, with United in talks to sign Senne Lammens before deadline day.

United have until Monday 1 September to finalise any further player signings and are confident they will reach an agreement with Royal Antwerp for their main shot-stopper.

Manchester United confirmed squad members vs Fulham

The other notable piece of Manchester United team news is that Rasmus Hojlund has been left out of the squad for the trip to face Fulham. The 22-year-old has been told he is surplus to requirements by head coach Ruben Amorim and has reluctantly realised he would be best served if he were to leave the club before deadline day.

Hojlund has reiterated he would like to stay and fight for his place at Old Trafford, but is not currently part of the plan under Amorim. The Denmark international did not get off the bench during United’s final pre-season friendly against Fiorentina and was not included in the squad that lost to Arsenal on the opening weekend of the Premier League.

Napoli are the latest side to express an interest in a deal to sign Hojlund before deadline day, and it is understood the player would consider a move if there are assurances over his long-term future. The striker’s preferred option would be either a permanent exit or a loan transfer with an obligation to make it permanent next summer instead.
