Chelsea winger Tyrique George has allegedly emerged as a transfer target for a Serie A giant ahead of the closure of the summer window.
The 19-year-old has progressed through the academy ranks to make an impact in Enzo Maresca's squad, featuring on 26 occasions.
A total of three goals and five assists have been contributed during that time, George notably scoring a goal at Fulham over Easter that arguably proved to be the catalyst for the Blues' late surge for Champions League qualification.
However, Chelsea decided to sign Borussia Dortmund's Jamie Gittens in a big-money deal in June and are seemingly waiting to acquire the signature of Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United.
With RB Leipzig's Xavi Simons also potentially arriving at Stamford Bridge and other players versatile enough to feature on the left flank when required, George faces being the player to drop down the pecking order.

Which Serie A club wants George?
As per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Roma are taking an interest in the situation and have already enquired over the conditions that would need to be met to sign George.
With Roma having failed to get a deal for Man United's Jadon Sancho over the line, alternatives need to be sought, even with Aston Villa's Leon Bailey having already made the move to Stadio Olimpico.
Romano adds that RB Leipzig and a number of Premier League teams remain interested in the England Under-19 international, who has two years left on his contract.
As it stands, an extension to those terms appears unlikely with George having been an unused substitute against Crystal Palace on the opening weekend of the season and not being present in the squad for the West Ham United game that followed.
The difficulty in negotiations may stem from Roma only being prepared to spend £20m on Sancho. Chelsea will realistically demand significantly more to sell George.
That is despite the obvious benefits that would come with selling a homegrown talent, particularly in the eyes of the Premier League's and UEFA's financial regulations.

George unlikely to make quick decision
A situation remains where Chelsea could be prepared to use one of their remaining three foreign loan slots to find a solution for George, although conditions over a potential transfer fee or contract extension would need to occur.
Otherwise, both George and the West Londoners could bide their time until the final days of the transfer window with the prospect an attractive option on the market.
From the player's perspective, regular football will be the priority, and he could become an option for several Premier League clubs in the lower half of the standings that are prepared to hand him such opportunities.
