Everton vs Brighton LIVE

Hello and welcome to the ECHO's live coverage of Everton's Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League.

The game will be the Blues' first at home of the new season and it's a historic one. For the first time ever, a competitive game will be played at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Everton supporters have had chance to take a look around their new home at three test events, the most recent being a fortnight ago against AS Roma. However, plenty have been keeping their powder dry for the first match of real meaning.

The Blues may need the extra 12,000 supporters too. On Monday, they started their Premier League season in limp fashion at Leeds United, stuttering to a 1-0 loss after a controversial penalty.

Manager David Moyes has made it clear he wants to see new faces arrive in the coming weeks. Tyler Dibling looks to be close to joining from Southampton in what could be Everton's most costly transfer of the summer so far, while a right-back and a midfielder are also still said to be targets.

The squad will likely be similar to Monday's though, meaning Moyes may need to find another emergency solution at left-back. Adam Aznou is a fitness doubt for the game, meaning James Garner or Dwight McNeil may be called to deputise.

There will also be excitement about Jack Grealish potentially starting the game after a bright cameo off the bench on Monday.

Team news will be confirmed at 12:45 p.m. (GMT) ahead of a 2 p.m. kick off. Joe Thomas, Chris Beesley and Connor O'Neill. will be in attendance to provide live build-up, goal updates and reaction from Hill Dickinson Stadium.
