La Liga giants Real Madrid are one of a number of clubs closely monitoring the situation of an up-and-coming member of the defensive ranks at Stade Rennais.
That’s according to transfer market insider Sacha Tavolieri, who points towards Jérémy Jacquet as the player in question.
Jacquet, for his part, is a 20-year-old defender, who chiefly operates in a central role.
The French youth international is fresh off something of a breakout season on the books of the aforementioned Rennes, which saw him turn heads across the continent despite a string of injury concerns.
Jacquet boasts a whole host of standout defensive traits, which have already culminated in suggestions that the youngster could soon make his way to the very top level of the game.
In turn, it should come as little surprise to hear of some of European football’s leading clubs having set their sights on his signature.
As per a report from journalist Sacha Tavolieri:
‘Al-Hilal have targeted Jeremy Jacquet as the priority U21 center-back to recruit this summer, with a potentially staggering salary on offer. The Saudi club has made contact with his entourage, but nothing indicates at this time that Jacquet, targeted by Real Madrid and Arsenal, is open to a move to the Saudi Pro League.’
