Tottenham are still pursuing Manchester City’s Savinho, with Spurs still hoping to sign the winger during the final week of the summer transfer window.
Everyone at Tottenham believe Savinho can be a superstar and that has been the driving force behind their strong push for the 21-year-old over recent weeks.
The winger is believed to be open to moving to North London as he feels it will increase his chances of making the Brazil squad for the 2026 World Cup; however, Man City are blocking Savinho’s exit.
Tottenham are aware of the Manchester club’s stance, yet the London outfit are still chasing the winger, with further developments on the transfer arriving following Daniel Levy’s visit to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Tottenham hold talks over Savinho transfer at the Etihad
It was reported this week that Levy and other decision-makers at Tottenham were set for talks with Man City over the transfer of Savinho on Saturday when Spurs travelled to take on the Manchester club at the Etihad Stadium.
The Daily Mail has now reported that those talks did take place and that Tottenham plan to continue to pursue the 21-year-old after missing out on the signing of Eberechi Eze, who opted to join Arsenal this week.

The report states that Savinho is still open to moving to Spurs before the transfer window shuts, but that decision remains in City’s hands.
Levy would have also learned on Saturday what it would take for Man City to change their minds on Savinho, and it is fair to say the Tottenham chairman would have been much happier about his team winning 2-0 than the answer he got when he asked this question.

Man City want £69m to sell Savinho to Tottenham
It was previously reported that Man City wanted £76m to part ways with Savinho, but as the transfer deadline gets closer, the Manchester club have dropped their price slightly, despite not wanting to sell the Brazilian star.
Ben Jacobs has reported that Spurs are willing to pay over £60m (€70m) to sign the Man City youngster over the coming days; however, the Manchester club want at least £69m (€80m) to reconsider their stance that the player is not for sale.

The journalist states that City’s position has not changed as they believe even a big sale could be a mistake due to Savinho’s high ceiling.
This makes the final week of the transfer window very interesting, as Man City will need to make a final decision early in the week because that will give them time to secure a replacement, with Real Madrid’s Rodrygo being Pep Guardiola’s top target.
