Even though Jahdae Walker went undrafted out of Texas A&M, many Aggie fans were looking forward to seeing whether he could make a roster in the league. He was a fan favorite in College Station for the last two years thanks to his excitement and celebrations, as well as a few big moments that he had in the maroon and white.
At first, the prospect of Walker making a roster didn't seem all that bright, but he's been making some big time plays up in Chicago, where he signed after not being selected. That hot streak continued last night, when he caught the game-winning touchdown pass to put the Bears over the Kansas City Chiefs.

There are shades here of the catch he made late in the game against the Miami Dolphins a few weeks ago— up to and including his famous Jubi Slide celebration that Aggie fans well know.

This wasn't the only highlight out of Jahdae from this game, either. Again, late in the game, showing his clutch gene, Walker made this incredibly difficult sideline catch and toe-tap to keep the Bears alive in a dire situation:

Jahdae was often flashing this potential when he was in College Station, but he wasn't quite able to put it all together in the way that A&M fans would have liked. Given that the ability was there, though, fans have been excited to see if he could make it happen in the NFL— and it looks like he's doing just that.
Jahdae ended the day with three catches on four targets, becoming the second-leading receiver on the team for the game behind Rome Odunze, who had 8 more yards on one more target. The Bears were really spreading the ball around, with no receiver notching more than 5 targets in the game, and Walker made the most of his 4.
It looks like the same affection that Aggie fans have for Walker is spreading to Chicago, both among the fans and the coaches. Check out this reaction to his touchdown by WR coach Antwaan Randle El:

This puts Walker just that much closer to making a roster in the league. At this point, I'd be surprised if he doesn't make a team somewhere in the NFL this year.
