The Baltimore Ravens used six of their 11 draft picks this year on defensive players, shoring up their depth chart while adding a few key pieces for another playoff run this season.
One rookie player that veteran coach John Harbaugh could not speak about enough was not among those players selected in the draft, however.
Harbaugh noted how an undrafted free agent player was consistently able to make big-time plays throughout the training camp and preseason.
Analyst Sarah Ellison shared Harbaugh’s praise for cornerback Keyon Martin after his team defeated the Washington Commanders 30-3 in both teams’ final preseason contest.
“He played well. He keeps making big plays. That’s something that’s accounted for, for sure. And he played sound, as well. He’s played like that the whole camp,” Harbaugh said of Martin.

Martin finished the game with the fourth-best tackle total, recording five stops in Saturday’s victory over Washington.
Two of those five tackles were for losses, helping Baltimore finish the preseason with an unblemished 3-0 mark.
He also intercepted a pass during the contest, returning it for a touchdown against the Commanders.
It’s the second time that Martin has recorded five tackles in a preseason game, and the rookie finished with 13 total stops in three games.
Martin’s audition has been a memorable one as the cornerback recorded four tackles for loss, including one sack against the Dallas Cowboys.
The cornerback needs to stick out as the Ravens have nine cornerbacks on their existing roster, a total that will shrink when Baltimore trims down to the 53-man roster requirement.
