Nottingham Forest head coach Nuno Espirito Santo is preparing his team to play Crystal Palace this afternoon.
Speculation has been rife regarding Espirito Santo’s future after a fall-out with Edu, with the relationship frosty since the Brazilian came to the club.
Espirito Santo will focus on the task at hand and after the game, attention will likely turn once again towards his future, regardless of the outcome of the match.
As always with the Sky Sports games, Espirito Santo has been put up for media duties ahead of the game, and he’s delivered a positive comment that should encourage Forest supporters.

Nuno Espirito Santo confirms what will happen after Forest play Crystal Palace
The Forest head coach looks to have played a blinder with the media here and as a proud man there is no reason not to believe the words he’s said.
Quizzed on what will happen after today’s game, Espirito Santo offered a glimpse into what will happen this week in the follow-up to the game.
When asked if a meeting would take place with Evangelos Marinakis and Edu, Espirito Santo delivered a resounding answer.
He said on Sky Sports: “Yes, that’s what we need to do and we’re going today. Today, obviously not because we have the match, but for sure, soon.”

Forest have to do whatever it takes to keep Espirito Santo
Losing Espirito Santo at this point is not an option and this meeting needs to take place quickly, with Evangelos Marinakis needing to do whatever he can to make the head coach happy.
With Forest being in Europe this season, the unsettling nature of the speculation is far from ideal and these comments from Espirito Santo are at least positive.
With Ange Postecoglou keen on the Forest job, there is a clear indication that the alternative to Espirito Santo doesn’t bear thinking about and it’s vital that he’s allowed to continue his current work.
Forest can now look forward to today’s game safe in the knowledge that he will get a chance to clear the air with Edu and Marinakis later in the week, it would seem.
