Nuno Espirito Santo has spoken positively about his future at Nottingham Forest ahead of this afternoon’s clash with Crystal Palace.
The Portuguese had cast doubt on his role at the City Ground in a remarkable pre-match press conference on Friday. Responding to rumours he was at risk of the sack, Nuno suggested there was ‘no smoke without fire’ and also admitted his relationship with owner Evangelos Marinakis had deteriorated.
There has been much speculation since about potential replacements for the former Wolverhampton Wanderers boss. But Nuno has made clear he wants to remain in charge Trentside.
In a pre-match interview with Sky Sports at Selhurst Park, he also said he planned talks with owner Marinakis and recently-appointed global head of football Edu. It comes amid suggestions there is a rift between Nuno and the latter.
Asked if he wants to continue as Forest coach, Nuno said: "Of course! Of course."
In response to whether he had any doubts, he added: "Ever! Ever."

A smiling Nuno was then asked whether he, Edu and Marinakis will have face to face discussions. He replied: "Yes. That's what's we need to do, and we will do it. Not today of course, because it's the match, but soon, of course.
"There's no speculation around anything. What we have is to communicate - how we're going to approach the final days of the (transfer) market, how we're going to approach the new season, how we're going to prepare our boys."
