11 players who could still leave Liverpool this transfer window

Liverpool have had a busy summer in terms of both incomings and outgoings, and they could still see 11 more players depart before the transfer deadline.

With a week to go until the transfer window closes for Premier League clubs, Liverpool have been among the busiest in the English top flight.

Nine players have already signed, with ambitions to bring in at least two more, and their total spending has broken the £300 million mark.

Liverpool have also brought in £216 million from the sales of eight players while allowing six others to head out on loan, as well as releasing seven on the expiry of their contracts.

Before the deadline passes at 7pm on Monday, September 1, there could be as many as 11 more to depart Anfield on permanent and temporary deals.

Kostas Tsimikas is chief among those, with the left-back finding himself third in the pecking order and attracting interest from the likes of AS Roma, Nottingham Forest, Valencia and Lille.

There could also be a move for Harvey Elliott, with Liverpool receiving contact from RB Leipzig as they seek a replacement for Xavi Simons.

Stefan Bajcetic has been working alongside the first team as he continues his rehabilitation from hamstring surgery, but a return to Spain has been mooted.

Similarly, James McConnell has been a regular alongside the senior squad at the AXA Training Centre after recovering from an injury of his own but is poised to leave on loan after signing a new long-term contract.

The future of Jayden Danns is less certain and likely hinges on Liverpool’s pursuit of another centre-forward.

If Alexander Isak complete his proposed switch from Newcastle, the chances are that a loan move for Danns will be sanctioned.

Kaide Gordon will take in another loan with Swansea and former club Derby among those interested, while goalkeeper Fabian Mrozek is also expected to head for another temporary spell elsewhere.

Uncertainty over Rhys Williams, Calvin Ramsay, James Balagizi and Oakley Cannonier could all be resolved with permanent transfers.

However for that to occur there must be sufficient interest, with there no developments as of yet regarding the quartet, who all spent pre-season with the U21s.

Balagizi and Cannonier have both spent time out on trial – the former in Sweden with Osters IF and the latter with former club Leeds – but neither of those spells resulted in contract offers.
