The excellence displayed by a member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona in the club’s latest outing has been aptly summed up by a round of statistics.
The player in question? Pedri.
Midfielder Pedri was for his part in from the off once more on Saturday, as Barcelona made the trip to Valencia for a La Liga meeting with Levante.
And en route to a comeback 3-2 triumph, the 22-year-old proved himself the star of the show.
On his way to clinching Man of the Match honours, Pedri kickstarted the Blaugrana’s ‘remontada’, courtesy of a wonderful strike from distance.
The Spanish international’s performance, though, was so much more than only his goal, with Pedri having controlled the middle of the park in a manner only he can.
And as alluded to above, such brilliance has since been firmly backed by the statistics.
As revealed by statisticians **[Sofascore](https://www.sofascore.com/football/match/levante-ud-barcelona/rgbsZgb#id:14082865)**, Pedri conjured up the following at the Estadi Ciutat de València:
* 145 touches
* 118/127 passes completed
* 1 goal from an xG of 0.08
* 3 accurate long balls
* 1 big chance created
* 100% aerial duels won
