Fulham vs Man Utd LIVE: Premier League latest score and confirmed lineups

Manchester United are looking for their first win of the new Premier League season when they take on Fulham this afternoon.

Ruben Amorim’s side impressed against Arsenal on the opening weekend of action with new arrivals Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo offering plenty of promise.

But at the end of the day, it was another defeat with more problems in goal threatening to undermine the progress made elsewhere.

United have lost their opening two matches of a Premier League season twice before in 1992-93 when they went onto win the league and most recently in the 2022-23 campaign under Erik ten Hag.

With a very healthy record against Fulham over the years, they will be hopeful of avoiding a repeat.

Predicted Man Utd XI today

Tony Mogan

With United lacking a cutting edge against Arsenal, a full debut for Sesko is surely on the cards today.

Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha enjoyed impressive debuts last week against Arsenal and will surely keep their places in the starting XI. Mason Mount also had a good day at the office alongside the new duo in an advanced role but with another full week of training under his belt, Benjamin Sesko could be unleashed in a starting role.

The Slovenia international came off the bench in the second-half against Arsenal, an unassuming debut but one where he still created two chances.

Lisandro Martinez and Noussair Mazraoui are United’s only injury absentees.

Onana or Bayindir in goal today?

Tony Mogan

Ruben Amorim was giving little away when he spoke at his pre-match press conference on Friday – but United’s efforts to sign Senne Lammens from Antwerp would suggest he isn’t satisfied with his goalkeeping options.

After being left out of the squad last weekend, Andre Onana has travelled down to the capital.

Good afternoon!

Tony Mogan

For a team that lost their opening game of the season at home, the outlook at Manchester United has been rather bright this week.

New signings looked sharp and aside from the regular goalkeeping calamities, Ruben Amorim’s side performed well.

It counts for nothing with no points on the board, however. It is early days, but two defeats in two would be pretty disastrous for the United boss this afternoon.

Fulham has been happy hunting ground for United over the years but the Cottagers are more than capable of rocking the boat this afternoon.
