Jeremy Jacquet has emerged as the latest rising star for a Stade Rennais club known for nurturing talented young players.
A centre-back by trade, Jacquet has become a key cog in Rennes’ defence after returning from a successful loan spell at Clermont Foot.
The youngster featured in nine competitive matches for Rennes last season, impressing onlookers with his imposing presence at the back.
Real Madrid among clubs interested in Jacquet
According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Real Madrid are among the clubs interested in the services of Jeremy Jacquet.
The Spanish giants are closely monitoring the situation of the young French footballer, but their interest may still be in nascent stages.
Apart from Real Madrid, Arsenal, too, are interested in Jacquet as the Premier League giants look to beef up the ranks in the defensive unit.

However, with neither of the clubs showing concrete interest; Saudi Arabia appear to have taken a lead, as far as the pursuit of Jacquet is concerned.
As per Tavolieri, Saudi Arabian giants Al Hilal have identified Jacquet as their ideal U-21 defensive reinforcement and are ready to offer him a staggering salary.
Al Hilal have already made contact with Jacquet’s entourage, but it appears the player has shown no desire to move to Saudi Arabia.
This is hardly surprising as the Frenchman is still in the nascent stages of his career, with potential to become one of the best defenders in Ligue 1.
If he can continue his progress at Rennes, he could easily earn himself a big-money move next season, especially with Real Madrid and Arsenal already interested in his services.
Although Real Madrid are already targeting Ibrahima Konate as a defensive reinforcement for next season, someone like Jacquet could represent a prudent alternative.
