Forest picked up a point on the road as Callum Hudson-Odoi's second-half strike claimed a 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday afternoon.
Nuno Espírito Santo named an unchanged side from the one that beat Brentford 3-1 last weekend, with new signings James McAtee, Omari Hutchinson, Arnaud Kalimuendo and Douglas Luiz also named in the matchday squad for the first time.
Forest had the first chance of the game when Morgan Gibbs-White did brilliantly to evade a couple of challenges before delivering a cross in from the right, which Chris Wood glanced narrowly wide.
The same combination then came close again, this time Wood the creator, with his knockdown falling for Gibbs-White who fired an effort over from the edge of the area.
But on 37 minutes, Palace took the lead when Daniel Muñoz’s cross from the right was swept in by Ismaïla Sarr for 1-0.
HALF TIME: Palace 1-0 Forest
Forest looked to respond quickly after the break having fallen behind before the interval.
Just before the hour, The Reds found a leveller as a perfectly weighted Dan Ndoye through ball picked out Callum Hudson-Odoi who made no mistake, rifling beyond Dean Henderson for 1-1.
Both Palace and Forest were to create good chances for the remainder of the match, with three of Forest’s four signings this week, McAtee, Hutchinson and Kalimuendo, all making their debuts from the bench.
Forest were to create two huge chances in stoppage time, the first falling the way of Igor Jesus who rattled the post with a left-footed strike after being played through.
Then, a loose header from Maxence Lacroix fell for Hutchinson, with the latter dinking his effort just over the crossbar on the outstretch.
The final whistle blew shortly after, with Forest leaving the capital with a point.
