It was a fierce crowd at Selhurst Park as Palace and Forest met for the first time since the Reds profited from the Eagles' expulsion from the Europa League.
Glasner's outfit used the impassioned partisan support to their advantage, making a bright start and taking the lead in the 37th minute.
Adam Wharton shifted the ball out wide to Daniel Munoz. The Colombian drove a cross to the penalty spot, which Ismaila Sarr arrived onto and tucked past the near post with his right foot.
Marc Guehi had a golden chance to double Palace’s lead at the end of the first half but headed Wharton’s teasing free-kick wide at the back post.
However, Callum Hudson-Odoi had Forest back on terms with their first shot on target. Dan Ndoye drew in four Palace players and capitalised on their high line as he slotted Odoi through on goal.
Tyrick Mitchell did his best to distract, albeit the former Chelsea winger stayed ahead and drilled low past Henderson in the 57th minute.
Drama in stoppage time afforded both sides opportunities to win it. Palace were caught in behind once more as Igor Jesus had Dean Henderson beaten. The woodwork kept Palace alive.
Palace hurried down the other end and made vigorous appeals for a penalty after Ismaila Sarr was tugged by Murillo. The Senegalese winger was marginally offside – otherwise, VAR had a decision to make.
It was end-to-end, and Omari Hutchinson had an opening to deprive Palace of a point as the ball fell for him in the penalty area in the last knockings. The £37.5 million attacker showed a lack of composure and spared Palace, lifting his left-footed flick over the bar.
A point against extended Palace’s unbeaten start to four games, with draws against Forest and Chelsea alongside winning the Community Shield against Liverpool and edging Fredrikstad 1-0 in the club’s first European game.
Glasner conceded that a draw was a fair result in a game of two halves.
“The players were a little frustrated afterwards because we had the lead and didn’t win the game. But big credit to the players for how they are dealing with the situation \[Eze leaving\].
“We are unbeaten after playing four games in two weeks, three of which were against Liverpool, Chelsea and Nottingham Forest, who were all in the top seven last year.
“All the credit to the players. We know we can play better football than we did in some parts, especially in the second half.
"In the second half we lost the ball too easily in attack. It meant the Forest could increase the pressure. We played a little too complicated in their half and didn't use our wing-backs as much as we did in the first half.
"We had a few set plays in the second half that we overcomplicated. It looks like the legs were getting a little fatigued. When you are fatigued, your orientation reduces and this is what happened in the second half.
"Until the 92nd minute, we defended our box excellently then we got caught in transition. So maybe we got a bit lucky.
"We have many players who have played every minute. But the players are dealing really well with it. The draw is a fair result today, a point is okay."
