PHILIP Billing is set to return to Denmark in a £5million move from AFC Bournemouth to FC Midtjylland, the Daily Echo understands.

The two clubs have agreed a deal over the 29-year-old, who looks set to depart after six years in Dorset.

Bournemouth are keen to get another high earner off their wage bill, and Billing was keen to move back to Denmark, so the move makes sense for both parties.

He has made a total of 201 appearances for the [Cherries](http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/cherries/clubnews/), scoring 31 goals – but he has fallen down the pecking order in recent seasons.

While he featured on the bench for the opening game of the season at Liverpool, the Dane came into pre-season having played only around 350 minutes for Bournemouth and Napoli last season.

Billing made ten appearances in the Premier League, with nine off the bench for Andoni Iraola’s side last term, before appearing ten times as Napoli won Serie A – again with only one start.
