Manchester United continued their frustrating beginning to the season, missing the chance to put Fulham to the sword early and ultimately escaping with a 1-1 draw.
Man Utd picked up from where they left off against Arsenal, for both good and bad, as they started on fire and created chances at will, but couldn’t put the ball in the back of the net.
The limit was reached when Bruno Fernandes missed a penalty in the first half after Mason Mount was wrestled to the ground by Calvin Bassey on a corner.
As the theme continued into the second half, Benjamin Sesko was introduced off the bench. However, it was Leny Yoro who rose high on a corner and forced the ball off Muniz to give United the lead.
The defence switched off later after Dalot’s needless giveaway, allowing Fulham to get back on level terms.
That is how the game finished, with Fulham threatening to score the winner instead of United trying to regain the lead.

Manchester United player ratings vs Fulham
Altay Bayindir – 4
Played some nice passes and even saved a few, but a goalkeeper who is 6’6″ simply can’t be as bad at corners as he is.
Leny Yoro – 9
Played with confidence and defended like a player beyond his years. Caused United’s opener. Witnessing a real-time ascent to superstar status.
More United News
Matthijs de Ligt – 7.5
Built on his impressive game against Arsenal with more front-footed defending and leadership.
Luke Shaw – 7
Had a nervy moment or two when Fulham grew into ascendancy, mainly in possession, but settled down.
Amad – 6
His impact off the bench in the last game was much better. Solid defensively, but didn’t test their defence enough.
Patrick Dorgu – 6.5
Created a good early chance with a cross and always made himself available out wide, stretching the game.
Casemiro – 6
Got booked for simulation. Solid otherwise.
Bruno Fernandes – 4
Missed a penalty and looked rattled in the aftermath. Not his best day in a United shirt.
Bryan Mbeumo – 7
He struggled to get into the game until he found Yoro on a corner and caused United’s opener.
Matheus Cunha – 8
Was a one-man wrecking machine at times and could have easily scored a hat-trick in the first half alone.
Mason Mount – 7
His off-ball work was finally complemented by the skills on the ball as he stitched the play together beautifully. Blossoming partnership with Cunha.
Substitutes
Benjamin Sesko – 6
Could rarely get into the game as it was all Fulham once they levelled the game. Made the most of the scraps he was fed.
Diogo Dalot – 5
Gave the ball away for Fulham’s opener, and it wasn’t much better for him outside of that instance either.
Manuel Ugarte – 5
Amorim’s negative change second game in a row. They lost control on the ball when he came on.
Harry Maguire – 7
Second game in a row he came on as an emergency attacking reinforcement. Almost scored from a corner.
Ayden Heaven – 6
Came on with Maguire to add even more height to the team.
