Manchester United continued the Premier League campaign on Sunday against Fulham with a 1-1 draw.
After the brilliant display Manchester United put in against Arsenal last weekend, hopes were high that the 2025/26 campaign might be shot into life against Fulham.
Early signs on Sunday afternoon supported that, with Matheus Cunha having a handful of big chances early in the first-half, failing to take them.
United had the better of the first-half with Bruno Fernandes also sending a penalty flying over the bar, which led to frustrations over the team’s inability to convert.
In the second-half, Leny Yoro – or a Rodrgo Muniz own goal – opened the scoring from a Bryan Mbeumo corner, only for Fulham to answer back through Emile Smith-Rowe.
This is how the game finished as United drew 1-1 with Fulham, and there were plenty of winners and losers in red.

Winners
First, we will look at United’s biggest winners.
Leny Yoro
Whether Yoro is awarded the goal or not, his performance outside of the goal is deserving of being in the winners column.
More United News
Yoro barely put a foot wrong once again and in the 53rd minute made an incredible tackle to deny Fulham a one-on-one opportunity.
The Frenchman remains arguably the biggest positive at Old Trafford and one of the first names on the teamsheet.
Matheus Cunha
On a frustrating day for United, Cunha was the brightest light as his first half performance should really have yielded two goals.
Cunha showed excellent flashes and the touch to bring down Altay Bayindir’s pass was sensational.
More to come from the Brazilian but more positive signs.
Losers
And now looking at the losers from the game…
Andre Onana
One big loser from Sunday’s outing didn’t even get onto the pitch, with Andre Onana being sent a message by Amorim that he is not top of the pecking order.
Amorim stuck with Bayindir despite last week’s blunder, despite Onana being ready and available to play against Fulham.
United are close to signing Senne Lammens and all signs indicate that Onana’s time as number one is over.
Casemiro
Hooked off in the 53rd minute, Casemiro was back at his worst on Sunday, offering nothing in the midfield for United.
Casemiro’s passing was poor and his inability to cover ground led to the Red Devils being overran often.
United were no worse defensively with Mason Mount in the defensive midfielder role which should showcase that Casemiro shouldn’t be a starter for the club going forward.
Altay Bayindir
After a week of speculation around the goalkeeping position and the seemingly imminent arrival of Lammens, Amorim stuck with Bayindir.
Bayindir inspired no confidence particularly from corners as he looked utterly hopeless with Fulham targeting him.
In a game which likely had a lot riding on it for Bayindir, it is hard to suggest he is a winner.
