Syracuse, N.Y. -- The Philadelphia Eagles traded for quarterback Sam Howell on Sunday, a transaction that makes it unlikely that former Syracuse quarterback Kyle McCord’s will make the team’s roster out of training camp.
The Eagles surrendered fifth and seventh-round NFL Draft picks in 2026 to land Howell, an indication that he will make the season-opening roster.
