The team announced Sunday that it cut the following six players: cornerback Zy Alexander, defensive end Nelson Ceaser, defensive back Garnett Hollis Jr., offensive lineman Rush Reimer, tight end Matt Sokol and running back Elijah Young. Additionally, wide receiver Grant DuBose was waived with an injury designation.
DuBose suffered an injury to his collarbone during practice last week that will require surgery, Bills coach Sean McDermott said.
The six players cut by the team were signed in the late stages of training camp, primarily to give the team enough healthy bodies to get through its final preseason game, a 23-19 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Saturday night.
In the game, Young rushed 16 times for 53 yards and caught three passes for 40 yards.

With preseason complete, our final Bills 53-man roster projection
Teams must set their initial, 53-man rosters, and with that process comes the reality that for some of the players who have sweated through training camp and the preseason, they have played a competitive down of football for the last time.
Alexander, Ceaser, Hollis, Reimer, Sokol and Young have less than four years of NFL experience, meaning they are subject to waivers. If they are claimed by another team, they would go right to the claiming club's 53-man roster. If they go unclaimed, they become unrestricted free agents and would be eligible to sign to the Bills' practice squad.
The Bills and the league's 31 other NFL teams need to have their rosters trimmed to 53 players by 4 p.m. Tuesday.
