Steve Parish and Oliver Glasner are at odds with regards to reported transfer target Yeremy Pino as Crystal Palace search for Eberechi Eze’s replacement.
According to The Sun, Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish and manager Oliver Glasner are at odds when it comes to transfer target Yeremy Pino. The Spanish winger is seen as an option to replace the departed Eberechi Eze, but the manager cannot see how the Villarreal star fits into his style.
It has been a week of tension at Crystal Palace, with manager Oliver Glasner voicing his concerns over the club’s transfer business. It has been a rather quiet window at Selhurst Park so far, but there is a need now to bring in reinforcements to get going for the season.
The recent exit of Eberechi Eze to Arsenal has left a huge void, while there is still a big chance for star defender Marc Guehi to depart. As for the former, Glasner has voiced his need to bring in a replacement, with Bilal El Khannouss a big target, although Tottenham are also chasing the attacking midfielder.
There have been links to Club Brugge star Christos Tzolis, and he might be Glasner’s preference to replace Eze. However, club chairman Steve Parish considers Yeremy Pino as the right target, with Crystal Palace already linked with a move for the Villarreal winger.
Glasner and Parish are at odds with regards to Yeremy, with the two figureheads possibly likely to engage in talks over transfer decisions. Glasner has his doubts on where the 22-year-old Spanish winger fits into his squad, given he is primarily a right winger, and Palace already have enough personnel over on that side.
Will Crystal Palace sign Yeremy?
Crystal Palace have reportedly approached for Pino, with the report stating if the 22-year-old Spanish winger could be signed for a fee closer to £20 million, it would appeal to the South London club. They also mention that Tzolis is available for a similar fee, with suggestions that Palace might consider bringing both.
That may be a viable solution to resolve the tussle between Parish and Glasner over Yeremy Pino, as the manager may have to find a way to integrate the 22-year-old Spanish winger into his system. In any case, the Eagles need signings at the earliest as there is not much time left before the window shuts.
