Crystal Palace are considering an ambitious reunion with Atlético Madrid midfielder Conor Gallagher, the News Shopper understands.
The 25-year-old is understood to be open to a return to Selhurst Park, with Palace weighing up a potential loan move for the England international.
Gallagher enjoyed a successful stint at Palace during in 2021/22 season on loan from his boyhood club Chelsea, making 39 appearances — contributing eight goals and five assists under then-manager Patrick Vieira.
_(Image: Keith Gillard)_ Following his loan spell at Palace, Gallagher spent two seasons at Chelsea, before signing for Spanish giants Atlético Madrid on a five-year deal last summer.
Gallagher made 50 appearances in his first season at Atlético Madrid, contrubiting ten goals.
However, in their first two games of the new campaign, he has spent only 67 minutes on the pitch and wants more minutes in a World Cup year.
Gallagher has made 22 appearances for the Three Lions, five of which came at Euro 2020 when England fell to defeat in the final against Italy.
