Oliver Glasner wants Crystal Palace to sign 23-year-old winger from Belgian club as Eze…

Oliver Glasner has reportedly urged Crystal Palace to bring in Steve Tzolis to replace Eberechi Eze.

Crystal Palace are weighing up their options to replace Eberechi Eze, who completed a £67.5 million move to Arsenal on Saturday. Manager Oliver Glasner and chairman Steve Parish appear to have different preferences, which could see the club pursue more than one target in the final week of the window.

According to The Sun, Glasner has made it clear that he wants Christos Tzolis, the 23-year-old winger currently at Club Brugge. After a difficult stint at Norwich City, the Greek international has reignited his career in Belgium, becoming one of the most effective wide players in the Jupiler Pro League. Glasner sees Tzolis as a player with the directness, energy, and attacking instincts needed to slot into his system quickly and fill part of the creative gap left by Eze.

Club chairman Steve Parish, however, has his eye on Yeremy Pino of Villarreal. The 22-year-old Spaniard is highly regarded in La Liga and has been a regular for Villarreal in recent seasons. The young winger is versatile and primarily operates from the right flank, but his ability to drift into central areas could make him a strong fit for Crystal Palace’s tactical flexibility. Glasner, though, is said to have reservations about exactly how Pino would fit into his starting XI.

If both targets can be secured in the £20 million range each, Palace could look to bring them both in. With Europa Conference League football on the horizon, squad depth is more important than ever, and adding two attacking options would ease the pressure of losing such an influential figure as Eze.

Up to this point, Crystal Palace’s summer business has been modest. They have signed goalkeeper Walter Benítez from PSV as a backup option and brought in left-back Borna Sosa from Ajax. Glasner has not been shy about voicing his frustrations, stating that he wanted Eze’s replacement lined up before the England international’s departure was confirmed.

Replacing Eze is no easy task. His creativity, goals, and leadership were central to Palace’s rise under Glasner. Whether the Eagles opt for Tzolis, Yeremy, or both, the next signing will be crucial in shaping their season. With the transfer deadline approaching, Palace must act decisively to ensure they have the firepower needed to compete in both domestic and European competitions.
