Chelsea defender Aaron Anselmino has been linked with a move away from the club in recent weeks, and he is now closing in on a move to Borussia Dortmund.
The German club were hoping to sign the talented young defender on loan, and they have managed to secure an agreement with the Blues. According to Fabrizio Romano, the player will join the German side in order to gain some regular first experience, and the Germans could secure the services of Carney Chukwuemeka permanently soon.

Anselmino is a talented defender with a bright future, and he needs to play regularly. Chelsea will not be able to provide him with that opportunity, and moving to Germany would be ideal for him. Regular football could bring out the best in the player, and it will help him establish himself as an important player for Chelsea in future.
Dortmund have been a preferred loan destination for several Premier League players in recent years. They have done well to groom talented young players, and the South American defender will certainly hope that the Germans can bring out the best in him as well.
There is no doubt that he is a talented player with a bright future. However, the 20-year-old Argentine needs to focus on playing regularly at this stage of his career. Sitting on the bench at Chelsea is unlikely to benefit him. It remains to be seen how the situation develops.
Chukwuemeka closing in on Chelsea exit
Meanwhile, Chukwuemeka is in a similar boat. He will look to play regularly as well. If he can secure a move to the German club, it could be ideal for all parties.
Chelsea will hope that Anselmino can improve with regular gametime in the coming months and return to the club as a better player next summer.
Chelsea have done quite well in the market so far, and they have added some much-needed quality and depth. They will look to build on the success from last season. They managed to win the Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup. It remains to be seen whether they can win a major trophy this time around.
