If the Jets are going to keep a third quarterback to start the season, it’s not going to be Adrian Martinez. The team has released an additional seven players with one of those being Martinez, who spent training camp competing with undrafted rookie free agent Brady Cook.
In addition to Cook, the following players were let go:
LB Jamin Davis
DE Michael Fletcher
OL Liam Fornadel
TE Zack Kuntz
DB Tanner McCalister
RB Lawrance Toafili
The Jets have released seven players, including QB Adrian Martinez. It leaves rookie Brady Cook as QB3 (for now). The list:
LB Jamin Davis
DE Michael Fletcher
T Liam Forandel
TE Zach Kuntz
DB Tanner McCalister
RB Lawrance Toafili#Jets

This of course means Cook is currently the third quarterback unless another move is made.
The release of Jamin Davis also comes as somewhat of a surprise as he is a veteran player who looked good enough on film to justify a roster spot.
