Manchester City have reportedly decided to target Deportivo de la Coruna winger Yeremay Hernandez this summer.
Pep Guardiola's side impressed in their opening matchweek of 2025-26, beating Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-0 on August 16, but they were beaten 2-0 by Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday afternoon.
The defeat concerned supporters given the Citizens looked blunt in attack, with striker Erling Haaland producing just one shot in the entire game.
City have been linked with forwards such as Rodrygo, though it remains to be seen if they can lure him away from Real Madrid.
Fichajes claim that the Premier League side are willing to trigger the €60m (£51.99m) release clause of winger Hernandez, but they will face fierce competition from Paris Saint-Germain.

Do Manchester City need another winger?
City have spent considerable sums since January, with their expenditure on new additions since the winter transfer window exceeding £300m.
The club have added a number of offensive players to their ranks, including the likes of Omar Marmoush and Rayan Cherki.
Their signings mean Guardiola has a wide array of options to choose from, with Phil Foden and Jeremy Doku both starting from the bench against Tottenham.
Despite boasting a number of talented players in his squad, there are concerns that the team lack productive wide players given Doku and Savinho netted just four Premier League goals combined in 2024-25.
Hernandez has performed at his best out wide on the left, scoring 15 league goals and providing five assists for his club last season from the flank, and he could add threat to the Citizens' frontline.

Are Manchester City falling behind in the Premier League?
City finished 13 points behind champions Liverpool last season, and the Reds have strengthened considerably this summer.
Title rivals Arsenal have also added more creativity to their team following the signing of Eberechi Eze, and they are likely to improve upon their showings in 2024-25.
City's struggles against Tottenham have demonstrated that they have not yet solved all of the issues - in defence and attack - that plagued them last term.
If Guardiola does not address his side's problems on the training ground, or in the remaining days of the transfer market, he could find it difficult to keep his side in the Premier League title race.
