Howie Roseman ends his Sunday night with hat trick trade with Eagles lineman

Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman made sure he ended his Sunday night with a hat trick in trades with one last move being made.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the Eagles traded offensive lineman Darian Kinnard to the Green Bay Packers. Philly will be receiving a 2027 sixth-round pick in the process.

A hat trick of trades today for the Eagles: Philadelphia now is acquiring a 2027 sixth-round pick from the Green Bay Packers in exchange for offensive tackle Darian Kennard, per sources.

After only appearing in one game in 2022 with the Kansas City Chiefs, Kinnard wouldn't appear in another game until 2024. With the Eagles, he started one game in two appearances, playing guard.

Roseman is making it clear the Eagles want to improve the offensive line

All throughout training camp, the Eagles struggled on the offensive line with the backups. It has been a much bigger concern compared to how it was last year.

Already on the same day, the Eagles executed a trade with Fred Johnson, who was with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He started in six games for the Eagles last year as he primarily filled in at left tackle for the injured Jordan Mailata.

That Johnson move helped with making the Kinnard trade happened who didn't have a memorable training camp with the team. He didn't do enough to make some buzz on the offensive line.

This might be a sign that the Eagles are possibly leaning more towards keeping their rookies on the team. There were three they selected in the 2025 NFL Draft.

The only backup who is a 100% lock for the roster is Brett Toth, who could potentially replace Landon Dickerson as the starting left guard if he remains injured. Matt Pryor could be another lock for the roster as he is a veteran on the team.

These roster moves are only going to make it tougher for Roseman to make his final decision. Monday and Tuesday will be interesting days in Philly.
