Manchester United centre-back Leny Yoro stood out during the draw with Fulham.
It is not easy to be positive about Manchester United, just two games into the Premier League season, and that’s not a nice feeling.
United’s only goal during the two games was an own goal. It was somewhat apt that defender Leny Yoro was the one who forced it.
Yoro was United’s best player against Fulham, carrying on from an excellent performance against Arsenal a week earlier.

Leny Yoro numbers vs Fulham
Leny Yoro played 87 minutes for Manchester United against Fulham, and he was a towering presence in both boxes.
Yoro won 80 per cent of his duels (4/5), and made five clearances. He made one crucial last man tackle to deny a goalscoring chance, that he had to get right.
The Frenchman won the header inside the box from Bryan Mbeumo’s corner that led to United’s goal, with striker Rodrigo Muniz deflecting the ball into his own net.
Data from Sofascore illustrates Yoro’s steady game for United, where he stood up and did his job, where some of his teammates faltered.

Yoro maturity evident week to week
It is vital to remember that Leny Yoro is only 19-years-old, yet he is playing like a seasoned professional.
Yoro does not even have a full calendar season of Premier League football under his belt, having missed the first four months of last season and only making his United debut in December.
It took a few games for Yoro to adapt, but since January he has kicked on and become one of Manchester United’s most reliable and impactful players.
Yoro already looks like a leader at the back, and the £52 million the club paid for him already appears to be a shrewd investment.
He is playing in a team that is learning, and has often been struggling, but he has never let his head drop. Yoro is a player United can build around, a key part of the future, with fans impressed by his efforts.
United will need Yoro to continue to improve as the season goes along. He is starting from a pretty high base, so his progress will be exciting to track.
