The latest Man Utd transfer news as they look to complete a deal before transfer deadline day.
Chelsea hope to complete a move for Manchester United forward Alejandro Garnacho in the final week of the summer transfer window. The 21-year-old is holding out for a move to Stamford Bridge before deadline day after he was deemed surplus to requirements by head coach Ruben Amorim at the start of the summer.
United have fielded several enquiries over a possible move for Garnacho, but it is understood the Argentine is only interested in a proposed move to Stamford Bridge. It remains to be seen whether a move will materialise, with Chelsea expected to test United’s resolve and capitalise on any desperation late in the window.
United value Garnacho at roughly £50 million, but have yet to sanction a sale in the current window and might be tempted to accept a lower fee for the academy graduate if there is no other sale opportunities on the table. Chelsea are expected to try and sign the forward for as cheaply as possible and could submit a late bid that does not come close to United’s valuation.

Club sources are adamant United will only sell players if the financial package is attractive to them, though there could be some leeway on a move for Garnacho due to the fact he is an academy graduate and any fee received would be recognised as pure profit.
Fabrizio Romano is still confident Chelsea will complete a deal for Garnacho before deadline day on Monday 1 September and even revealed that they proposed to include Tyrique George in a swap deal. However, the transfer guru claims that was quickly turned down by United, who only want to receive money if they are to sell the youngster this summer.
“Chelsea expect 100% that Alejandro Garnacho deal to happen,” he said in his latest YouTube video. “I fully think we’ll have a “here we go” this week. There were some rumours to include Tyrique George as part of the conversation between Manchester United and Chelsea. This option was already stopped a few weeks ago so at the moment Tyrique George is not part of those conversations as of now.”
