Nuno Espirito Santo shares his opinion on the state of the squad after draw at Selhurst Park

With **Nottingham Forest**back in Europe for the first time in almost three decades, spirits should be high. However, the future of Nuno Espirito Santo is in doubt after a public berating from Evangelos Marinakis. If he leaves, the parting gift from the Portuguese might be words of wisdom on the squad.

‘We need bodies’

The Tricky Trees have been active in the transfer window. In the last ten days, they signed Omari Hutchinson from Ipswich Town, James McAtee from Man City, and Arnaud Kalimuendo from **Rennes**for a total fee of £93.5 million, and all three men were on the field for the final 20 minutes against Crystal Palace.

Igor Jesus joined them in the offence, having left **Botafogo**in July after their exit against **Palmeiras**in the Club World Cup. **Dan Ndoye**is also adapting to the team after moving from Bologna. Forest must handle a schedule that includes European football and find a way to integrate the incomings.

“We’re going to try and work not only the training sessions but games are important they come with the stress of the competition trying to connect to each other it's not easy, and it will take some time.”

The Portuguese pointed out that he requires a few more arrivals to feel happy with the squad.

“We have to sort out things and we're going to do it. We're going to do it. The club is aware that we still need options to balance well the squad and finish this transfers market and move forward.”

**Ola Aina**has been running himself into the ground as their right back while Neco Williams was their fullback cover on both flanks last term. That will not be enough depth to manage midweek matches.

“We need the squad totally completed because now it's Premier League and in a quick turnaround it's going to be Europe and the boys are going to work hard and we need bodies to keep this energy.”
