Real Madrid have set their sights on a deal for 16-year-old Club Tijuana sensation Gilberto Mora, according to a report.
Los Blancos are two for two under Xabi Alonso in the 2025-26 La Liga campaign, following up an opening triumph over Osasuna with a 3-0 beating of Real Oviedoon Sunday evening.
Kylian Mbappe stole the show with a brace in that Bernabeu encounter, while Turkish talent Arda Guler also earned numerous plaudits, providing the assist for the Frenchman's first in the capital.
New signings Dean Huijsen, Alvaro Carreras and Franco Mastantuono were all selected from the first whistle by Alonso, while ex-Liverpool man Trent Alexander-Arnold came on for the dying embers of the encounter.
Real's big-money business for the summer window is now thought to be complete, but the 15-time European champions are supposedly still open to market opportunities for the stars of tomorrow.

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Real Madrid are already 'close' to sealing a deal for Tijuana's Mora, having recently expressed an interest in a deal for the 2008-born talent.
Los Blancos are supposedly running the rule over Mora in every match he plays for his current club, and the Spanish giants will launch an official bid for the teenager when they feel the time is right.
Unsurprisingly, the report adds that Mora would start out in Real Madrid's Castilla ranks with a view to eventually progressing to the first team, and there are 'growing expectations' from both sides that a deal could soon be completed.
Those close to Tijuana apparently feel that Mora making the move to Real Madrid would be a 'source of pride' for the Liga MX outfit, and 'excitement' is buzzing around the Mexican club at the prospect of an imminent transfer.

A diminutive attacking midfielder and a product of the Tijuana youth academy, Mora made his senior debut in 2024 at just 15 years of age, and the playmaker has already written his name into the history books.
On August 31, 2024, Mora netted his first Liga MX goal for Tijuana in a 2-1 victory over Leon, which made him the youngest scorer in the history of the Mexican top flight at just 15 years and 320 days old.
Mora has continued to go from strength to strength both domestically and on the continent; he recently scored both of Tijuana's goals in a 5-2 Leagues Cup defeat to MLS outfit Los Angeles Galaxy, and he struck another brace in a 3-3 Liga MX draw with Chivas as recently as Saturday.
Mora is comfortable in a number 10 role and on the left-hand side of the attack, while he has also dabbled in centre-forward and number eight duties during the embryonic stages of his career.
Also holding the record of the youngest-ever debutant for the Mexico national team, Mora made three appearances for El Tri at the 2025 Gold Cup, setting up the winning goal in the semi-final against Honduras and starting the final win over the USA.
