According to a report by Football Insider, Anthony Gordon will not leave Newcastle United in the summer transfer window, with the Tyneside outfit shutting the door on his exit. The Magpies have also decided to block bids for Bruno Guimaraes. Meanwhile, Gordon has previously been a target for Arsenal, although it is unclear if the Gunners retain their interest in the English winger.

Anthony Gordon has established himself as one of the most promising young prospects in the Premier League since joining Newcastle United from Everton in a deal worth £40 million plus £5 million in add-ons January 2023. A native of Liverpool, the Englishman spent his formative years with Merseyside clubs and graduated from the youth division at Everton.
The 24-year-old has come leaps and bounds in the last two and a half years at Newcastle United, having become a mainstay in the final third for most of his spell with the Tyneside outfit. Gordon has turned out over 100 times thus far for Newcastle United while chipping in with 22 goals and 23 assists.
Meanwhile, the versatile English attacker’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs across Europe. Premier League bigwigs, in particular, have been keen on signing the former Everton winger, with recent reports linking him with Arsenal.

Arsenal’s interest in Anthony Gordon made sense. So, Arsenal will unlikely pursue another attacker, and the move for the Newcastle United forward may have cooled.
