As part of our girls youth team restructure, the side will play in the PGA U21 League and be led by former Blues and England midfielder Izzy Christiansen.
It follows the appointment of Hannah Dingley as Girls’ Head of Academy in May, who will establish a clear pathway between the Academy and the first-team while creating and executing our performance plan.
City Next Gen’s first match of the season is an exciting trip to Manchester United as we vie for a place in the Northern Division’s top four to qualify for the nationalised Group 1.
Ahead of our opening assignment our Under-21s have been working hard with Christiansen and our coaches across the summer to be in the best place to start our campaign.
