Extent of Saka & Odegaard's injuries revealed with Liverpool v Arsenal just 6 days away

This article covers a developing story. Continue to check back with us as we will be adding more information as it becomes available.

Arsenal continued their winning run in the 2025/26 Premier League season with a 5-0 victory over Leeds United this weekend – but the injuries to Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard somewhat tainted what was such a brilliant outing for Mikel Arteta’s men. The extent of both injuries have now been revealed.

After winning 1-0 on the opening weekend, the Gunners – who have finished second in three seasons on the bounce – were keen to take a winning momentum into their second game against Daniel Farke’s Leeds. They did so with a five-goal rout.

Arsenal, before the first international break of the campaign, now have a match against Arne Slot’s reigning champions – which will be a real test to see whether the likes of Viktor Gyokeres can cut it against one of the best teams in world football. However, a new report claims they will be without Saka and Odegaard.

How Long Saka and Odegaard Will be Sidelined For Revealed

Saka, widely regarded as one of world football’s best wingers, is set to miss out on Arsenal’s trip to Anfield next Sunday, while he is also reportedly out of England’s World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Serbia next month.

The 23-year-old Englishman went off with a hamstring on Saturday as the north Londoners made it two from two – and, according to BBC Sport, he is set for a four-week spell on the sidelines.

Elsewhere, club captain Odegaard – who is looking back to his best after a poor 2024/25 – is a doubt heading into next week’s encounter with Liverpool. The Norwegian attacking midfielder suffered a shoulder injury and, despite trying to soldier on, was replaced by Ethan Nwaneri in the 38th minute.
