Chelsea exit ‘imminent’ – Player pictured arriving in another city on Sunday, medical today

Four days ago, we covered claims from Germany that Borussia Dortmund are in talks with Chelsea for Carney Chukwuemeka and Aarón Anselmino.

Two days ago, Sky Deutschland reported BVB managing director Lars Ricken and sporting director Sebastien Kehl had travelled to the UK to secure the duo’s services.

The Bundesliga club have made advances and are edging closer towards completing the signing of Chukwuemeka.

That’s according to a fresh report from Sky Deutschland, and they say the Chelsea man’s arrival at the Signal Iduna Park in ‘imminent’.

The midfielder was on loan at the German club for the second half of last season and they have decided to buy him this summer. The report states the Blues will receive €25m plus a potential €5m in bonuses.

It’s claimed the 21-year-old arrived in Germany late on Sunday and Kehl picked him up from the airport.

On Sunday, claims from Argentina reported BVB have agreed to sign Anselmino on loan. However, he didn’t accompany Chukwuemeka to Germany.

Sky Deutschland journalist Patrick Berger took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to post a video of Chukwuemeka arriving in Dortmund. He reports the player will undergo a medical today and then sign his contract.

Ruhr Nachrichten BVB have taken to X to post a picture of Chukwuemeka. They also say he was accompanied by the Borussia Dortmund director, upon arriving in Germany.
